Oakmont & Brookline Business district set to get a facelift

Revitalize and Reinvigorate!

The Board of Commissioners approved funds to revitalize and improve the street scape in front of the businesses on both Eagle Road and Brookline Boulevard in their last meeting. A unanimous vote among the board frees of financing for the projects.

The money is primary attributed to two separate savings the township and Commissioners were able to access. Brookline Blvd. was eligible for HUD financing and Oakmont Village is receiving money the township saved from a PECO rebate for changing outdated street lights to new LED lights.

The HPED has been working as a partner with the township in projects that will directly benefit aging business districts through various initiatives to revitalize, reinvigorate and preserve the need for thoughtful development.

We are grateful and proud of the advancement the township is seeking and accomplishing daily to augment the continued success of the businesses within their jurisdiction.

Residents and businesses alike will directly benefit from the much improved upgrade.

We encourage you to use this lot when shopping or dining in this section of Haverford Township. This spring a ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled in May once the trees are planted to officially
